Review
Overall Score: 6.5
The amaretto sour is a solid cocktail that most whiskey drinkers and non-whiskey drinkers enjoy. The use of egg white is required as it shifts the cocktail from average to great. The bourbon and lemon juice partner well and the finish is creamy and pleasant from the sexy egg whites. The sour and tartness limit me to one drink, two max. My wife and I have different palates, but we both consider this an enjoyable cocktail. The use of egg whites and bourbon make this a nice cocktail when you’re hosting friends or family given the broad appeal. The only caution I offer is careful with the egg. The first mix I dropped the yolk into the shaker like a Degenerate piece of shit and had to restart. Better luck to you, and cheers Degenerates!
