Review

Overall Score: 9.4

Bourbon County Wheatwine is unfiltered, which gives it a crazy look with shit floating everywhere. This allows the beer to retain more flavors, similar to non-chill filtered whiskey. The non-filtration combined with bourbon barrel aging creates an incredible palate and heavy mouth feel. The caramel and butterscotch notes are strong and interact well with the wheatwine profile. This is the best wheatwine I’ve ever tasted and one of the best beers overall. It’s incredibly unique with moderate sweetness and exceptional complexity. You’ll identify many tasting notes that conclude in a creamy and delicious finish.

Degenerate Discussion

Bourbon County Wheatwine is an offering from the highly creative and successful Bourbon County Stout series from Goose Island. Most of the brewery’s beers are shit, but the BC series is life changing. This wheatwine tastes like the nectar of the gods, and it will have you drinking it down faster than the gals on PornHub. Fortunately, you can drink this beer fully clothed and you don’t have to get on your knees…I feel like we’re going to hell a little bit faster after this review. Each year, we encourage you to join the hunt for the Bourbon County Stouts. Cheers Degenerates!
