Cold Front Lakewood Brewing Co. Review

Overall Score 7.0 Cold Front is a bold IPA with great flavors and creativity (look at the appearance). The intense malt will limit the audience, but those that enjoy stronger tasting notes will rank this highly.

Review

Overall Score: 7.0

Cold Front has mixed reviews, but this is a beer I enjoy. Since I provide the scoring system, I can ignore the naysayers on Untappd. I seek bolder flavors and Cold Front delivers in a strong way. The palate is intense with heavy maltiness and spices you expect in a winter offering. This is a creative beer, which is immediately noticeable in the darker coloring for an IPA. This is a perfect combination of a strong ale or amber and an IPA that has elevated hops. Cold Front is an uncommon mixture and is not for those with a weaker palate. If you’re trash like me and Oscar the Grouch, this is a beer you’ll enjoy. Cheers Degenerates!
