Brewery Insights: Harvest Ale leverages ‘wet hops’ which immediately begin processing upon arrival at the brewery. The recent harvest and texture gives the hops added aromas, causing this beer to burst with citrus and fresh pine.

Review

Overall Score: 6.1

Harvest Ale has a darker tint and looks more like an IPA than an ale, likely a result of the higher IBU, malts, and processing techniques. The palate follows the appearance as this is a hop-forward ale with bolder flavors (moderate flavors for an IPA). The citrus notes are higher than standard IPAs and closer to a hazy. Overall, this is a balanced and flavorful ale that should have a large audience – ale drinkers, IPA enthusiasts, and hazy hipsters. The beer market has better options, but this is still worth trying for the hop variation and bolder ale. The only thing we call bullshit on is the hops being wet upon arrival at the brewery (there are 10 jokes you can insert here, so we’ll let your imagination run wild). Other than that, cheers Degenerates!
