Brewery Insights: Hop Bullet brings a new technique which places Magnum hops and lupulin dust directly in the tank to elevate the pine and citrus flavors.

Review

Overall Score: 5.4

Hop Bullet is a caramel color, which is light for a DIPA. The palate contains low citrus notes and mild hops and bitters. The best word to describe this beer is bland. The hops and flavors are lighter than the appearance even suggests. The process of adding hops directly into the tank sounds like a brilliant idea, but it doesn’t do anything unique. This is closer to a 5.5% IPA than an 8% DIPA, which will scare away most DIPA enthusiasts.

Degenerate Discussion

Hop Bullet’s best recommended use is putting a bullet through it during target practice. This is a consumable beer for the sheer fact it’s from Sierra Nevada, it’s a DIPA and it’s 8%; however, it’s the shittiest version of all of those things. Consider this your warning. Don’t buy this beer unless you own land and can put a gun to it out back. RIP Hop Bullet and Cheers Degenerates!
