Review

Overall Score: 7.6

The color is pitch black, but the heaviness of the liquid is low to moderate. The first drink and every subsequent one are sensational. KBS deserves to carry the name Kentucky on the label as a nod to the barrel-aging process. The sweetness and coffee notes are moderate and don’t dominate the beer’s profile. This is a perfectly balanced imperial stout with bold flavors and a silky palate, that provides a great mouthfeel. This is a unanimous favorite in the beer community as you seek opinions online. If you enjoy imperial stouts, you’ll enjoy this offering…as a Degenerate and stout enthusiast, it’s shocking I waited so long to try KBS. It makes me wonder if a finger in the ass during sex really is worth hype. I think I’ll let that one wait and just appreciate KBS coming through (baby steps). Cheers Degenerates!
