Brewery Insights: Saturday Night Special is a beer and brownie combination in one can. This is an oak aged stout with fudge brownie and malt flavors.
Review
Overall Score: 8.8
Saturday Night Special has a pitch black appearance and is a dangerous brew. It’s rare that a stout achieves the flavors promised on the can, but Saturday Night Special tastes exactly like a fudge brownie. This is a sweet stout that will scare away some. For me, this is a memorable experience and one I thoroughly enjoy. The mouth feel is light for a stout, and the finish is creamy and dessert-like. 903 killed it with this beer and it deserves the title of ‘special.’
Degenerate Discussion
Saturday Night Special is an extremely sweet stout that will divide the beer community, but come on, the fucking can says Sea Salt Brownie…and that’s exactly what it tastes like. If your spouse is giving you shit about losing weight and is keeping you away from desserts, this is a tricky way to get the sweet flavors you desire. Degenerates always find a loophole, and 903 offers us one in this delicious brew. It felt like a cheat day after drinking Saturday Night Special. Fuck a diet and cheers Degenerates!
