Review

Overall Score: 6.1

Two Hearted Ale has a straightforward appearance, which is consistent with a 7% IPA. The look summarizes the palate as you’re treated with moderate flavors that make this a serviceable option for most IPA enthusiasts. There’s a blend of low to moderate citrus flavors, hops, and malts with nothing standing out. It’s a notch above average for drinkability, but the creativity is limited.

Degenerate Discussion

Two Hearted Ale is a common favorite of the drinking community, but that’s only because people are lazy and don’t try new things. This is the IPA you give a 21 year old while they’re developing a palate, but fuck you if you’re still drinking this in your 30’s. That’s an exaggerated comment that strikes the appropriate tone to critique this beer. The craft beer scene is too exciting to get stuck buying this beer over and over again. Cheers Degenerates!
